I also experienced the same E9 error - called customer service who told me how to reset. I was very motivated to get this machine to work, so I reset, tried again. It would run about an hour, then return to E9 error status. I'm pretty good at troubleshooting, so, I tried a number of settings, trying to find a way to encourage the machine to work - to no avail. E9 is a "sealing" malfunction. And, there was no evidence of any sort that not one speck of moisture was being extracted. Nothing in the machine itself, and, no evidence indicated by my hygrometer in the room. It's a very good design.
